Distribution: Small in length, cylindrical, stout bodied snake with a very short, blunt, rounded smooth scaled tail. Can grow to a maximum of about 0.79 metres. Head is barely distinct from neck. Eyes are small in size with vertically elliptical pupils. Dorsal scales are smooth to weakly keeled. Males with small cloacal spurs.
