Region: A non-venomous and harmless snake of Uropeltidae family. Endemic to India. Restricted to a very small part of the Western Ghats in Maharashtra (Mahableshwar and nearby areas).
Description : Cylindrical bodied, smooth-scaled. Head narrower than neck. Snout rounded. Tail very short, appears to be cut at slant: ends in two small points that are side by side.
